How to find your Moon sign (without guessing).
Your Moon sign is the zodiac sign of the Moon's ecliptic longitude at your birth in Western tropical astrology. It changes about every two to three days. Your birthday is often enough to narrow it down, but a date on which the Moon enters a new sign can have two possible Moon signs. Enter the exact birth time to settle the boundary.

Can I find my Moon sign without a birth time?
Often, yes. If the Moon did not change zodiac signs over your local birth date, one sign applies throughout the day. If it crossed a boundary, both signs remain possible until you obtain your birth time.
Is my Moon sign the same as my zodiac sign?
Your usual zodiac sign is your Sun sign. Your Moon can be in a different sign. One describes popular astrology's outward identity symbolism; the other its emotional symbolism.
How often does the Moon change zodiac signs?
Approximately every 2.5 days, with variation. It does not change at fixed midnight boundaries, so universal date-only lookup tables can be wrong around transitions.
Do Moon signs scientifically predict emotions?
No. The astronomical position can be calculated, but the associated personality readings are entertainment and reflection, not scientifically validated psychological predictions.
Methodology: Western tropical zodiac (0° Aries at the vernal equinox). Moon position uses the astronomy-engine v2.1.19 lunar geocentric ecliptic position. Rising uses local sidereal time, observer latitude, and obliquity to find the eastern horizon. Browser IANA historical timezone data converts local times to UTC; disputed, missing and ambiguous clock times may require independent records. Extreme latitudes and historical records deserve specialist verification. Birthplace input is not sent to NOFLTRS™ by the calculator; the astronomy dependency may load from a third-party CDN on first use.
